Uzbekistan Welcomes Over 1 Million Foreign Tourists in a Single Month for the First Time
In April 2025, Uzbekistan received more than 1 million foreign visitors in a single month — a historic milestone for the country’s tourism industry, according to the State Committee for Tourism.
This achievement highlights Uzbekistan’s growing appeal as a travel destination and marks a significant step in the ongoing development of the national tourism sector. Authorities plan to continue expanding the range of services that meet international standards, while strengthening Uzbekistan’s global position as a competitive and attractive destination. Special attention will be given to promoting eco-friendly and sustainable tourism, the committee added.
According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan welcomed 1.3 million foreign tourists during January–February 2025 alone. This represents a 37.1% increase (or 361,200 more visitors) compared to the same period last year.

- Afghanistan – 81,797 visitors

- China – 14,062 visitors
- India – 10,326 visitors
- Republic of Korea – 5,292 visitors
- Other countries – 38,810 visitors
