Day 1 — Nukus – Barsakelmes

Depart from Nukus and head toward the Ustyurt Plateau. Along the way, stop at the mysterious Barsakelmes Salt Flat, whose name means "the place of no return." The endless white surface makes it a photographer’s dream.

🍽 Picnic lunch in the field

Continue to Lake Sudochie, a haven for thousands of migratory birds, and visit the old Soviet settlement of Kubla-Ustyurt, frozen in time.

On the way: pass by an abandoned lighthouse and the ghost village of Urga.

By evening, arrive at a yurt camp on the Aral Sea shore.

Day 2 Aral Sea – Ustyurt Canyons

🌅 Sunrise over the Aral Sea — a perfect moment for photos.

After breakfast, drive to the canyons of the Ustyurt Plateau, stopping at the 13th-century Kurgancha-Kala fortress ruins. Take a walk along the sea’s edge. If weather permits — enjoy a swim.

Return to the camp in the evening for dinner by the fire.

Day 3 — Aral Sea – Muynak – Nukus

After breakfast, begin the return trip to Nukus.

In Muynak, visit the haunting Ship Graveyard — once a bustling port, now stranded in the desert — and the Local History Museum, which tells the story of the Aral Sea before and after its decline.

Final stop: the ancient Mizdakhan necropolis and the ruins of Gyaur-Kala Fortress, with its powerful 10-meter walls and crumbling citadels.

Evening arrival in Nukus. End of the tour.
